Import & Export Settings

The Import & Export feature allows you to back up your gallery rule configurations or transfer them between WordPress installations.

Exporting a Rule

  1. Open the Gallery Rule you want to export in the settings editor.
  2. Navigate to the Import & Export tab.
  3. Click Export. A JSON file containing all the rule’s settings is downloaded to your computer.

Importing a Rule

  1. Open the Gallery Rule you want to update (or create a new one).
  2. Navigate to the Import & Export tab.
  3. Click the Import area and select the previously exported JSON file.
  4. The settings from the file are loaded into the current rule.
  5. Review the imported settings and click Save.

Common Use Cases

  • Create a gallery configuration on a staging site and migrate it to the live site without manually recreating every setting.
  • Keep a backup of a working gallery setup before experimenting with significant changes.
  • Share a gallery configuration with another developer or a support team.
